We have set another live date for Lourdesians.com - June 1st.
Apologies for this.
The software we’re using to run the site has recently been upgraded. Because the new version offers several new features which will significantly enhance user experience, we decided to go live using that new version (instead of sticking to the previous one). And, as usual with this process, it’s added a few more items in our "Action" in tray.
Again, we hope you hang in there with us. We’ll get there one way or another …..

Lourdesians.com is the go-to site for Lourdes College alumni and present/past students, faculty and staff to find and connect with each other. (Note: This site — what you’re currently viewing — is not THE Lourdesians.com site. Rather, it is an attempt to give you an idea of what sort of things you can do when the REAL Lourdesians.com site finally goes live).
When it goes live (on April 1, 2008), there will be no need to look for our LC classmates, schoolmates and batchmates all over the place (eg in Friendster, Multiply, Facebook, MySpace, Yahoo!Groups, etc); we can just head to Lourdesians.com to find each other!
Post your photos, videos, music — or start blogging (about your travels, business, projects, ideas, dreams - anything goes!) — on your own space in Lourdesians.com. Post classified advertisements and events. Discuss all sorts of topics in the forum. Or start a chat session on the fly to discuss ad hoc topics. All on Lourdesians.com.
There are many, many ways to use Lourdesians.com to strengthen the LC community. Think it and it might very well be. Here are some of them:
- Any job opportunities in your workplace? Why not share the information with fellow Lourdesians?
- Create a go-to site for your LC batch on Lourdesians.com — all information in relation to your batch’s latest scoops and events/activities (eg fund raising, organizing for LC homecomings, etc) in a single place.
- Thinking of visiting/moving to another town, city or country? Lourdesians (or people they know) may be living there or nearby to provide you with the inside scoop on that place.
- Post your poems, short stories, essays, music compositions, videos, etc. We’ll be there to give you feedback, if that’s what you have in mind. Or we can simply enjoy your creation.
- Share your passions and interests… you’ll never know who else among us share your dreams. There is real power in numbers: you can sustain and work on your dreams together, making it more likely for them to come true.
- Still undecided on a career path to take? Or thinking of switching to a second (or third, fourth, etc!) career? Tap into the long and varied working experiences of other Lourdesians to inform your decision.
- Working on that (school/work) project? Reach out to the LC network far and wide through Lourdesians.com: discuss your project in the forum, use the messaging service to contact and set up real/virtual meetings with specific Lourdesians, create chat sessions to conduct your online interviews, post your draft project results for feedback, and share your final (video-, audio-, photo- or text-based) project results with us.
